Catch Success Rate 98%, Billfish, 74%, Dorado 20%, Tuna 28%, Other Species 22%.
Although Yellowfin Tuna and Billfish dominated the catch this week, the Yellowfin Tuna caught by the Pisces boats were as large as 180 pounds, and there was an increased number of Wahoo.
Another popular release target for many of our clients was the Roosterfish. The Dorado featured more of a bull category, though plenty of the smaller ones were released.
We anticipate another exciting week with favorable weather and many species to target. If you are still looking for a bucket list of candidates to chase, “suerte” and we hope to see you at the scales.

On the “MY WAY,” a 45-foot Viking, Captain Pepe/ Mates Daniel/Jouse with Caleb Jones, Joshua Lee Jones, Lacy Nicole Jones, Lee Matthew Jones, and Stephanie Ann Jones had a great time. With help from Captain Pepe and his Mates Daniel and Josue, the fishing group caught and released One 100-pound Striped Marlin on bait, plus they caught One 36-pound Dorado and Four Yellowfin Tuna, around 15 pounds on average, at the Outer Punta Gorda.

The 42-foot Bertram “YAHOO,” with Captain Ricardo Escamilla and his Mate Yahoo Jose Escamilla running the boat, they found One Striped Marlin that their angler, Barry Powell from Wylie, Texas, released. The marlin took bait about Two miles outside of del Cerro.
WEATHER CONDITIONS: Calm seas with little wind, 5-6 FT seas in the afternoon.
