After seeing the Marlin bite turn up last week, we saw a slight lull beginning midweek with fishing starting to pick back up into the weekend. Where we were seeing 3 to 4 Marlin Released per boat, this week anglers were lucky to release one or two marlin, with a total of 20 Billfish Released for the fleet. We did have some wind pick up that may have affected this, although they were not extreme wind speeds, they did reached about 15 knots max.
Dorado catches were good, although the number of fish caught was less, most fish averaged between 20 and 30 lbs each. And finally this week we saw some Yellowfin tuna action! Nothing huge yet, but fish ranging from 10 to 30 lbs.
