Seems like striped marlin season is here. Water temperatures have dropped a few degrees and we are close to what seems to be their favorite temperature 70 F. Multiple marlin catches have been common with catches of up to seven fish in a day with fish ranging in size from 100 to 150 LBS. For some reason they prefer dead baits, but once the green mackerel becomes more abudant their taste may change. All catches are on the Pacific as close as one mile to shore. You have to be on your toes though, these fish are lively, this one snapped by Gary Owen almost speared the angler!
