Our 2023 Fishing Results! Plus 45 Years of Pisces

As we close out 2023 and step into 2024, we look back on our results for the fleet and the moments and memories created. Not only did 2023 bring another year of incredible results with catch success rates of up to 98.5% for vessels, along with incredible fishing numbers, but it marked our 45th Anniversary of Pisces Sportfishing Fleet.

Pisces 37′ BBII With other INCREDIBLE day on the water!

We want to take a moment to thank all of our loyal anglers, crews and staff that have allowed us to reach this incredible accomplishment of 45 years in operation. Forty-five years of waking up before the sun, of preparing lunches and drinks, of rigging baits, of rough and calm days at sea, of thousands and thousands of fish, bringing delicious meals and releases, of families fishing and working together, of learning and growing and improving… but mostly of time. Time to yourself, time with others, moments of laughter and frustration, of blood, sweat and tears to get that bucket list fish in, and we’ve really had a few: records and personal bests, time to think and time to not think at all. It’s really a wonder – this fishing thing. It means so much to so many different people and in so many different ways.

One thing’s for sure, we just wouldn’t be the same without it. Fishing is in our hearts, it’s in our blood; and keeping it sustainable is our greatest responsibility. It’s also part of who we are and why we do things. Conserving our fisheries to keep enjoying for the next 45 years, at least. You ALL, have also been a part of this.

A family owned and operated business that began with one small boat and in 1978, bought by a father and his two sons in La Paz; and that then that boat made the way down to the “small fishing town” of Cabo San Lucas. Captain Rey Winkler was then the boat washer, alongside Captain Leon Camacho, may he rest in peace. The pioneer crew of the fleet. We feel so lucky to still have Captain Rey with us, who always loyal, always hardworking and always with a smile, has been with us through and through. And like him, many many others. In the same way as many of our crew, our anglers that have fished with us year after year for over 30 years… you know who you are and we will forever be grateful. For the new and the old anglers, for the first timers, for the kids.

We are thankful for four generations now that have seen the fleet grow and evolve; a fleet that has become the most successful sportfishing fleet in Mexico, and one of the most recognized worldwide. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.

May 2024 bring us much more of all of the above.

THANK YOU & HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024!

And… Without further ado, here is the YEAR 2023 RECAP in numbers:
